Fantastic
Bought to break down shipping boxes. I got tired of box cutters, so tried this out – so glad I did. Holds a charge pretty well so there’s no problem taking down half dozen large furniture boxes. Very easy to operate and quickly cuts through thick cardboard. Wished I’d gotten this sooner. The self-sharpening blade is a bonus, and you can replace if necessary. Love the blade guard feature and it doesn’t really hinder corner cuts. Haven’t tried wrapping paper or fabric yet, but I’d anticipate similar results.

Really good at cardboard
I have read a lot of the reviews on the Worx ZipSnip and my experience varies from others. The Worx is a valuable tool for me as between Amazon, Costco, and other vendors I have a lot of boxes to break down. While some others state that Worx can not cut thicker cardboard that has not been my experience. Even the thick produce boxes from Costco with some elbow grease behind the ZipSnip will cut through those boxes. It is still easier to use than a manual box cutter and much safer. What I do share with other reviewers is that the time to recharge is very slow. I tend to let the boxes pile up so I do sometimes run the battery down but if you are doing 10 or fewer boxes at any one time the charging time should not be a hindrance.

Really works on tough material
I bought this to help me cut down a really think, huge cardboard box that came with my shed. I am an older woman, living alone, and breaking down a box, like that, with a box cutter, was really difficult. This electric scissors really helped me! A little awkward, at first, to get the whole trigger lock and on lever coordinated, but I finally figured it out! It managed the thick cardboard really well! It even cut through those damn plastic clamshells that everything seems to be hermetically sealed in nowadays! Love it!

Perfect for cutting up boxes
We recently changed to bin only recycling (ie they donât take boxes outside the bin) so I was worried about how I was going to cut them up without flaring my arthritis. This works perfectly. I like that I can get replacement blades as well. Have already used it and it worked great. I really recommend it if you have hand mobility/pain/hyperextension issues.

Great for cutting a lot of things
I got this to help cut carpet pads. It does that beautifully, in addition to cardboard boxes and anything else that is otherwise extremely difficult for me and my arthritis.. Great safety features so I’m not able to cut my fingers off! Definite good buy.

Received yesterday. Packaged well. Haven’t used it yet but my rating is not based on the item itself. All products that I buy from Amazon going forward will be deducted 2 stars for inadequate operating instructions. In this case the instructions have multiple languages and in order to fit it all on the paper they use about a “1” font (maybe slightly less). I have corrected 20/20 vision and I can hardly read it. In this case we are talking about an electric cutting tool with a rechargeable lithium battery which means several safety issues. I want to receive my purchase, open it up, and refer to legible instructions. Sorry it was this item that initiated my crusade but I’m tired of this ever increasing practice. Vendors, give us everything we need to use your product!!

My package was delivered quicker than expected. The device had a good charge already, so I started working on cutting up boxes to put in my recycling bin.Easy to use.
