Retractable strap + Hand Ratchet = WIN
Awesome tool! While I haven’t had it long, and thus tested for longevity, this is one solid product. I’m a student Industrial Design Engineer, so I do have some training on well built and it seems rigid and something that will stand the test of time. Win on design lifespan! The retractable feature, like a tape measure, makes glue-ups easy to do without those dream Dr. Octavius arms…or another set of hands. The one-handed clamps, like Irwin’s Quik-Clamps are a godsend and make tightening easy. I would say these have a much tighter holding/locking feature than the Irwin’s which tend to slide because of the caliper action. These have a ratcheting feature, so incremental locking is only available, and thus does not allow the micro-adjustments caliper clamps have. So, over-tightening is an issue. The adjustable angle clamps are also great and I successfully used these to glue-up my hexagonal and pentagonal shapes. There is also enough gap at the apex of the angle guides to to micro-adjustments with your miters. Dial it in perfect and clamp it down! The mechanism is heavy and stays well planted flat on the nice rubber feet…but as with most glue-ups, some gravity weights were needed to seal the deal.Overall though, this product definitely fulfilled my needs and I am impressed. LOVE the retractable strap! I bought two, I’d buy two more.=)

    Oh yeah…
I just finished using this clamp to make up a few picture frames… I couldn’t be more pleased; I just wish I would have had it long ago. First, the clamp just feels solid. The housing and all is plastic, but it’s thick plastic and the whole clamp just feels well built, solid, and slightly heavy… perfect. Second, it also has been designed well. Little details like the rubberized feet so the clamp lays well on the table, the magnetic post that securely keeps the hooks on the end of the strap fastened to the post on the clamp, and the quick release button make this just a great tool. Additionally you can really cinch down on the clamp which sucks together even joints that are gaping just a bit. I thought I would have a bigger problem with the faces of the frame pieces not being flush or wanting to slide up and down, but after I tightened the clamp a little I took a face frame clamp and flushened them up and voila! I didn’t have to worry about them sliding at all once I clamped down. I could actually pick the whole thing and move it with the glue still wet. What a great clamp!

A Great Clamp for Large and Small Projects
The Good: This clamp is a great way to secure large and complicated projects. The band opens up to an amazing 16 feet, which, for the average wood shop person, is plenty. The easy ratcheting handle takes almost no effort to manipulate and unlocks easily as well. The construction is plastic but feels strong. I believe this product will hold up to abuse over time. Finally, the corner brackets are a nice soft plastic that does not harm your project. The Bad: The corner brackets just sort of sit on the strap and can easily fall off it not careful. This makes manipulating the strap into place around your project difficult, and makes storage awkward as you have to put them in a bag to ratchet them down on the clamp.

    Fantastic!
So, these are so useful that I just paid 2x their old price to get another set. That should tell you all you need to know about their value to a project.

    Great Product
I bought this for a project I was working on and before selling on this one, I looked way too much into reviews, price, etc. and got this one. It was perfect. I’ve used it a few times for it’s suggested use and one to hold together a 60 inch headboard that was coming apart. It was easy to use ever time. The only thing I want to warn people about it so make sure the strap is locked on the loose. Mine wasn’t, and it came out. It took me about 20 minutes to get it back in. I made sure this wont’ happen again by putting a few layers of duct tape about the end.In short… get this if you need it.

    Wolfcraft one-hand band clamp
After using the Wolfcraft one-hand band clamp that I purchased a few months back through Amazon.com my experience with this clamp was so positive that I recently bought another clamp to use in tandem with the first one. Compared to the standard band clamps, the Wolfcraft clamp is so much easier to position and tighten. The clamp has a substantial feel and weight and feels solid when clamped into position. There is certainly more than enough clamping pressure for my box making projects. Holding the clamp in one hand, I can easily position the band around the pieces to be held together after pulling out just enough band to go around the project. The auto-rewind feature for the band then makes it easy to pull in the slack by simply pushing a button with the same hand that is used to operate the ratcheting handle when applying pressure. I no longer need to have three hands in order to position and tighten the band, as was pretty much required by the old standard bandclamp. For both purchases of Wolfcraft clamps made through Amazon.com, the items came well within the projected timeframe for delivery, and the clamps were at least adequately packaged and protected with a bit of bubble-wrap. Pricewise, you would be hard pressed to beat Amazon.com’s price per clamp. I’ve seen the same clamp in other places for considerably more. Sears sells one under the Craftsman label for about $35, and at least one of the many woodworking catalogs I receive shows this same clamp for $49.

L’ho acquistato per assemblare cornici di legno, il migliore che abbia mai usato.

I have purchased many tools and gadgets over the years (some pretty good and some not so much) but this product makes building frames sooooo much easier. This is a very well built tool that is super easy to use and a huge time saver for clamping frames for gluing and the ratchet mechanism adds another hand vs some of the others I’ve seen on Amazon which require two hands to hold and tighten.

Lo utilizo para enmarcación, y aunque no es bueno para los marcos finos, para los gruesos funciona de maravilla, rápido, fuerte y cómo de usar.
