Works on ws2811 pixel 18 guage
Use it to replace bad light pixels. It worked fine in the 10 pixels I had to cut out. I cut replacements and stripped about 1/4 inch and solder seated. Very pleased. 18 guage wire doing all 3 strands at once. It’s mostly plastic and feels it but not flimsy

Great tool for the price. But only for a few types of wires and situations
I work in electrical panel shop. I strip thousands of wires a day. I was looking for something for speed and ease. I figured I’d throw a couple bucks on this to see as I’ve tried something similar in the past. I bought the Blue version that looks like a dinosaur head (I call it a Dyno stripper lol) I am absolutely astonished with this product on how well it works for how cheap It is. Definitely doesn’t work well with super high and super low gauges of wire tho. Even after playing around with attention it seems like it would just completely cut anything above 20 gauge and doesn’t work very well with 14 and below. I found that it really is perfect for 18 and 16 gauge only (In my case anyway. My work uses mtw stranded wire). You really got to play around with tension when swapping to different wire sizes and types. At one point I almost threw it away as I noticed that it was cutting into my 18 gauge wire the first time I tried it. but playing around with adjusting the tension knob solved the problem. That part could definitely be a little better but it’s what I get for essentially almost a $10 tool. Definitely looking to get a brand name, expensive, quality version of the product as this one seems to work quite well for the price but could do better. The one thing I say that I like most about this type of tool is that I only have to squeeze my hand vertically to strip something instead of holding a pair of Klein strippers horizontally. If that makes sense. Definitely feels faster when you can just squeeze your hand to strip something then having to grab your Kleins tool select the type of hole that you need and then strip up and away, when this is a one-click action and you have the added benefit of it being the same strip length every time. When building an electrical control panel this thing can save terminal strip wiring Time by hours.

Does what I need it to.

    Not Durable
So, I’ve owned it for just under 3 years now, and maybe have used it a total of 4 or 5 times during that time. It’s a cheap knock-off of one that S & G Toolaid made popular. I am not a tech, installer, or professional. I’ve used it to install a new receiver in my wife’s car, speakers in my car, to repair a small battery powered string of LED lights in my daughter’s room, and then when I needed it most, to strip two wires, on white and one black, to replace a poorly installed outlet in my kitchen, it failed me. With limited room and reach to work with, in the confines of a small cubby shelf for a microwave, above the counter, it wouldn’t strip the wires at any depth or tension. We’re talking probably 16-18 gauge wire at the thickest, and this is not new wiring, so the sheathing should be more brittle due to age. All it did, was kind of crimp and pull at the sheathing. I ended up having to use the old single edge razor blade method, because all the power in the kitchen was off, and I was burning daylight. Very disappointed, and unfortunately another lesson in, you get what you pay for.

    Wow!
Probably the most time saving tool I’ve bought since the cordless screw guns! This thing literally makes stripping wires 2 seconds per wire. Love it!

  7. OceanBlue

    Feels Very Cheap
Look for the price you can’t complain. They do the job. I am mostly working with 12 and 14 gauge stranded wire. They work but feel very cheap. The handles will stick together many times and the wire stripping is not consistent. They do the job but don’t expect Knipex quality.

  8. Stick Ojala

    works as advertised
    .

  9. Brian Piccioni

I bought this because I have a hard time stripping small gauge wires. I had pretty low expectations, given the price, but the product works pretty well. Given that it is mostly plastic, I doubt it would last long with heavier gauge wires but it suited my purpose.

  10. David Osorio Llerenas

Siendo sincero el material se siente de baja calidad pero el mecanismo es sorprendente, pela los cables con muy buena eficiencia, esta excelente en calidad y precio

  11. Paul

Great bit of kit. Works so well and a breeze to use. A must for any handyman/hobbyist.

  12. Younes

The product is great. Very easy to work with and strong. However the packaging was weird. After opening outside package, the inside package was lose, and the product was dirty. It had some dirt spot on it, so it did not look new

  13. James Hodgkinson

Mainly because the conversation with the second-best was included in the door price so it doesn’t count. This thing just works, and is clear how to use. That’s all you could ask for.
