Mini cutter features a versatile design to work as well as a safety box cutter as it does a pocket knife or kitchen multi-tool. The advanced ceramic material is rustproof, nonconductive, antimagnetic and won’t spark. The slow-to-dull blade starts at an effective sharpness and retains its safe cutting edge for up to 11 times longer than steel for consistently smooth cuts again and again. Customers say
Customers like the cut quality and safety of the utility knife. They mention it’s a good box cutter and virtually impossible to cut yourself with it. However, some customers have reported that the durability is poor and the lock functionality is poor. Opinions are mixed on its functionality, size, blade sharpness, and ease of use.

I panicked when I lost my first one & bought another!
I saw a video on the little cloud box cutters and immediately went searching! This one popped up and I was wondering why it costs more than those others. Itâs not a real blade so I havenât cut myself at all in the past year that Iâve been using it. Itâs literally so easy to use & it automatically retracts so my toddler isnât able to use it. As a parent, safety is very important!! Itâs worth the extra cost for the quality. I use it to open packages & deflate those packaging bubbles, but I think itâs pretty versatile like having a pocket knife and itâs VERY light. I keep one by my mail station at home and one in my purse.

Great Little Plastic Cutter
This is a great little plastic cutter that is easy to use for tearing down boxes, opening packages, etc. I went back and bought another one because I liked it so much and wanted to keep one in another room.It is conveniently magnetic and can be kept on the fridge, but I keep mine in a drawer.

The best box opener I’ve ever owned
I’m guessing everyone these days needs to open shipping boxes all the time with the prevalence of amazon, and other online retailers. This little opener makes it incredibly easy, and best of all, SAFE to open tons of boxes. The blade is retractable and made of ceramic, so it’s very hard to actually cut yourself with it. You’d have to REALLY try if you wanted to draw blood. It still works fine for box tape and cardboard though!!! I had one of these for around 10 years before it finally broke. I just bought a new one. It’s really a no-brainer.Normal box cutters that use super sharp razer blades are scary and incredibly dangerous. If you don’t need to really cut down tons of cardboard, and just open/break down shipping boxes, this is 100x better in my opinion.

Great to open boxâs.
Love this to open boxâs. I would recommend not getting the locking one, just buy the cheaper on. I bought this one and the locking mechanism doesnât work.

Such a simple product has made my life so much better
I have had this for 3 years now and I LOVE it. Before, I opened all my packages and broke down boxes with scissors or keys. This is much better – it glides through packing tape like butter without having the ability to cut my skin. And itâs so compact it easily slips in my pocket so I was able to keep it on me when I was moving/unpacking. The best part is that itâs magnetic so I always know that itâs in itâs designated spot on the fridge (that is, until my partner steals it and doesnât return it to its spot).

Don’t come to a utility knife fight carrying a Slice
I’ve seen ceramic cutters but never used one. I have ceramic knives and veggie cutters that cut very well. I carry a Bessey in my pocket but it is quite heavy so I wanted to see if I could lighten my daily pocket load by switching to a Slice. The Slice size and weight are very nice. It weighs almost nothing and it fits easily in my pocket. It’s about the size of a box of square Tic Tacs.::::The lanyard hole::: It is meant for a lanyard and not a keyring. Lanyard threads will fit but most split keyring holders will not fit. It is tiny and I had to use a single wire ring, with a wire diameter less than 1mm (probably about 0.5mm).::::How does it cut?:::: It’s ok but it’s no match for my Bessey. I’ve been carrying both the Slice and the Bessey for three days and attempted to use the Slice as much as possible. I wanted to see if the very lightweight Slice could replace my much heavier Bessey (7 ounces) for most of my general cutting/opening needs. Unfortunately, the Slice just doesn’t have the cutting power nor depth of a heavyweight utility knife. In many cases, the Slice wouldn’t cut through thin plastic — it would only score it (like clamshell packaging). Even with a week-old blade in my Bessey, its metal cutting blade is much sharper and much more effective. For far too many applications, I found the Slice to be frustratingly less effective than a metal cutting blade. I had to forego the Slice for the Bessey most of the time.::::Sticky packaging tape:::: Certain packaging tape gets tacky in elevated temps and it will stick to a blade. This means you must disassemble the Slice and clean the interior housing and blade. With a utility knife, you just snap the end of the blade. If the Slice is used to cut through lots of tacky tape, it will render it almost useless. When that tacky goo hardens, it’s even worse.::::Bubble envelopes:::: I used the Slice to open a bubble envelope. Not using a flat surface and cutting above the bubbles, it was very difficult to open the package. The small blade kept pushing the mailer away. Using a flat wooden surface and cutting the other end (below the bubbles), the Slice worked much better but only partially opened the mailer. However, it scored the remainder well enough that I was able to pull it open by hand.:::: Regular packaging tape (like Amazon uses):::: As long as the tape is applied to a perfectly shaped and perfectly closed box, it works fine. Along the top, it cuts well. On the sides, if there any irregularities (top is askew, box is dented, etc. ) and this makes the depth required to cut the tape greater than 1/4 inch, then it cannot reach the tape. I used the Slice to open over a dozen boxes and with almost every boc, it left some portions uncut. However, it took minimal time and effort to rip the remainder open.:::: Corrugated boxes:::: Cutting a box into pieces along the fold lines works decent but takes multiple tries. Cutting through the actual corrugated sections is much more difficult. If you downsize (cut) the boxes for recycling, the Slice will do it but it takes a lot more time and effort than a regular box cutter.Don’t get me wrong. The Slice is a nice tool for certain applications. It is lightweight and easy to carry. It doesn’t have a fixed blade but the retractable blade shouldn’t be a big issue unless you must use a blade all day, every day, in your work/hobby.If you don’t need a serious cutting tool, get a Slice.

This is a perfect cutter!
I was tired of looking for my siccors to open packages from the mail.I has a magnet on the back so you can stick on the fridge and never lose it.It isn’t super sharp so you can’t really hurt yourself by accident but razor sharp enough to help you cut and open packages etc.The only thing I wish it came with was another replacement blade in case the one it comes with gets dull or breaks. I highly recommend this item since I use it all the time 🙂

Handy but Overpriced and Chintzy
It cuts tape but, it’s a bit cumbersome and the tiny, unchangeable, plastic blade is not reflective of the cost; this thing would be fairly priced at $4. The spring on the blade is pretty firm so, it takes more effort than necessary to activate the blade and causes a bit of arthritis pain. It’s magnetic so you can stick it to the fridge but, the magnet is barely strong enough to handle the miniscule weight of the tool. My wife has a hard time closing a lockback knife so, the automatic retract is nice for her; if it wasn’t for this single detail I would have returned this immediately upon opening it.

Muy útil y práctico a la hora de abrir cajas.

The blade cuts open packages with ease. The bald replacements are definitely not cheap. However, the blade that comes with it should last a long time. The blade has 2 ends. One has a rounded edge and the other is pointed. Cons: lack of instructions on how to open the case to do blade replacements. Figured out that thereâs a sliding switch on the back. This allowed me to separate the case to do the replacement. They should mention that in the instructions.

It works well. Exactly as advertised. Only problem I have with it, is my son’s keeping taking it to open their packages and don’t put it back…so I can never find it.

Werkt, zoals gezegd prima.

I bought this because I work a lot with packaging. This is nice and compact, and fits easily into any pocket, and can even be left on a metal base due the magnet inside. I love how easy it is to control the blade length. I am easily able to cut therough packaging without cutting into the contents. Something I see a lot of evidence of with other peoples choices of cutter. The pointy blades and rounded blades are interchangable which is brilliant. This was a good choice on my part and i highly reccomend it.
