Customers say
Customers like the ease of use, functionality, and ease of application of the tape label dispenser. They mention it’s a time saver, works great around baseboards and trim, and makes taping the entire room much easier. Customers also appreciate the line length and cutting ability. However, some customers have reported that the tape doesn’t adhere properly on the first try and slides back and forth on the rollers as they’re trying to guide it along the wall. They also dislike its durability and differ on its value for money.

Makes a tedious job go quickerâ¦
Really does a nice job. Easy to load. I run my finger over the tape just after it is laid down. Makes nice clean lines.

Best tool ever
This tool for the price is great. with they had them for wider tape. But its still great

Better than applying painters tape by hand and provides straighter lines, but still frustrating.
Pros: Inexpensive. Designed by 3M for use with their paint masking tape. Built-in roller and teeth to cut the tape easily. Dispenser helps you keep tape a consistent distance from the wall for straight lines. Lines are straighter than when applying painters tape by hand. Only useful in long straight areas, not in tight corners or awkward angles.Cons: If wall isn’t straight & trim isn’t flush to wall, it doesn’t matter how straight the masking tape is. You’ll have a straight paint line, but it won’t look exactly right to the eye. Even wiping-down trim first, pressing tape down and even wetting it first didn’t prevent some paint bleed in some spots. Dispensing isn’t as easy. Spent a lot of time fidgeting with dispenser, trying to line-up tape correctly, etc… Tape didn’t grip well and would slip. Flimsy plastic.Thoughts: Cutting-in paint where it meets the trim is the bane of my existence. I’ve tried painters tape multiple times with varying success. I’ve tried cutting-in by hand, but that’s for the pros. I thought this dispenser might be what I was missing for making painters tape work, but its only made a marginal improvement and didn’t really save me a ton of time. If I used this for years and got to be an expert with it, it might make a difference. But for someone who paints a wall once every 2-3 years, it only made a marginal difference.

This thing saved us
My husband and I decided to paint a few rooms in our house with darker colors. We never painted a room before, and I was super nervous about taping the whole thing up as there are lots of corners and edges. This took a few minutes to get the hang of, but once we did, it made taping the entire room so much easier I will not do a paint project without it in the future!

ââââ Seamless Taping Made Easy, but Occasional Sticking Issues
As an avid DIYer, I’ve always struggled with achieving perfectly straight lines when painting trim, windows, and door frames. That’s why I was thrilled to discover the Scotch Blue Painters Tape Applicator. This nifty tool has revolutionized my painting projects, making the taping process a breeze. One of the standout features of this applicator is its ability to apply the painter’s tape in one continuous strip. No more painstakingly trying to align individual pieces of tape â this tool does it for you, resulting in a seamless and precise line every time. The 1.41-inch width is perfect for most trim and frame applications, providing ample coverage without being too bulky. The included starter roll of Scotch Blue Painter’s Tape is a reliable and high-quality option, ensuring clean lines and easy removal without damaging surfaces. The applicator itself is well-designed and comfortable to hold, making it a pleasure to use, even for extended periods. My only critique, which prevents me from giving this product a perfect 5-star rating, is that occasionally the tape doesn’t adhere properly on the first try. There have been instances where I’ve had to go back and press down on certain sections to ensure a secure bond. This minor issue could be due to various factors, such as surface texture or ambient temperature, but it’s worth noting.Despite this small drawback, the Scotch Blue Painters Tape Applicator is an invaluable tool that has significantly improved the quality and efficiency of my painting projects. The time and frustration it saves more than make up for the occasional sticking issue. If you’re someone who values precision and clean lines when painting, this applicator is an absolute must-have. It might take a little practice to get the hang of it, but once you do, you’ll wonder how you ever managed without it. Highly recommended for DIYers and professionals alike!

The gliding pads at the bottom wear down pretty quick. Good for long straight stretches, not tight enough as hand taping.

l’ho acquistato perchè dovendo tinteggiare casa pensavo potesse essermi di aiuto, in realtà ,secondo me, non vale i soldi che costa ed infatti dopo un utilizzo iniziale l’ho accantonato…
