Excellent tool
Iâm a collision repair technician and bought this Makita gun for dispensing urethane for auto glass! Plus all my other cordless tools are Makita so it made sense for me to get something I already had batteries for. It works excellent! Urethane for auto glass is the toughest most dense product out there and this gun dispenses with ease and control. Totally effortless! Excellent investment!

I love this gun!
If you caulk a lot, BUY THIS. This thing works GREAT. Adjustment takes a bit of getting used to – you’ll need to make very tiny changes on the speed dial to get the flow rate just right. Also, I have no idea why, but most calks and adhesives seem to dispense with fewer air bubbles (those annoying gaps when caulking). Almost non-existent with small and large cartridges alike. Really saves a lot of time and energy. Changing cartridge size requires a phillips screwdriver and about 2 minutes. If you haven’t lost or misplaced any parts… Be sure to check prices if you want both cartridge sizes, because you’ll save money buying the tool with one size and then buying the add-on cartridge holder in the other size. When I got mine I saved about twenty bucks buying the tool with the large holder and then ordering the small holder separately.

Very easy to use. Very smooth operation and definitely better than having to squirt urethane for glass by hand

This caulk gun is a real workhorse
Wish I’d had one of these years ago! It’s a bit on the heavy side, but it more than makes up for that! Easy to use – it deals with some of the thicker caulks that are hard to gun with no problem!

Good tool but doesnt have a cuter or poker
The gun works great, especially with heay duty construction adhesives but for over $250 it doesn;t have a cutter or a steel poker on it! So no I need to still use other tools in addition to this very expensive one just to open a tube of caulk. For a tool this expensive, Makita should have figured out the basics

Long Bead great
When you need to run a long bead this tool is great. Expensive but for me the right tool for larger caulk jobs. Costly. I hope it lasts long time!

Unstoppable
Awesome tool. Caulk guns are a necessary but cumbersome tool to use. Hand squeezing gets old quick especially if the caulk is extra thick or reusing an already opened tube at a later date. This tool just makes putting down caulk a pleasure. No cramps, no sloppy bead, just a nice steady even flow. Expensive but it’s one of those tools that pays for itself in a few uses.

Ive been a builder for nearly 50 years and all I can say about this tool is I wish I had bought it sooner. This thing is great!!I own many Makita and Dewalt batteries so I read the reviews for both Makita and Dewalt and the Dewalt seemed to have complaints re the caulk being fed too fast…….so I chose and purchased the Makita hoping for the best. My helper is Very picky when it comes to caulking jobs. We had been working on caulking the seams of an old Airstream trailers belly pan, a good test for the new gun, after getting the flow adjustment setting to where he wanted it he really never looked back, never went back to the old hand operated gun. I too have used the gun and wow, it makes caulking jobs so easy!!…………….(This is a glowing review and I am not in any way being compensated for this review or connected with Makita in any way)…..take care!
