    Good professional Crimps
Just received these Crimpers, I made my first cable with them and they are working perfectly. I borrowed a pair of Ideal Crimpers from a friend and I feel like these do a slightly better job. The connection felt a little more secure . I was making Cat 6 cabling with QVS brand Cat 6 Jacks, these jacks do not have the back crimp that usually holds the wire into the jack ( I know cheap jacks LOL) with that being said while the crimpers did dimple the end it had no ill effect on the crimp or the jack at all. I tested the wire by plugging it in to the Router and the computer and it is what is providing the internet access to the computer i am writing this review on.The crimpers do have a little nob for release but you do not have to use it, simply press down a little harder and the crimpers will spring open. The cutter is located on the back side of the Crimps, one side says Strip and the other says cut. The cutters are comparable to any other cutter on crimps. The stripper portion works but you will need to be very careful not to cut through the cables located behind the outside jacket. With that being said I have made many wires with other crimpers and none of them have stripped the wire well, I do not rely on any all in one crimps to cut and strip wire, I use a pair of small side cuts to cut the wire and the jacket. These crimpers do the job and feel extremely well made, i love the size and how they lock down when not is use. I whole heartily recommend these crimpers they will get the job done and feel great in my hand.

Good value for the price. Works well!
I just got through using this tool for making up a series of phone and network cables, and I must say that it worked very well for me. All of the crimped connectors tested good, and the cables were held snugly. The ratcheting feature also worked flawlessly. I’d say that this tool represents good value for the price. One thing worth noting about the ratchet feature, which some people might not understand, is that there are only about four teeth on the ratchet track, which are not designed to BEGIN to catch until you have made ALMOST a full crimping stroke. The ratchet is not supposed to release until you complete the FULL stroke, thus assuring that you have fully crimped the connector. From some comments that I’ve heard, I’m guessing that some people think that the ratcheting action is supposed to occur continuously along the entire full travel of the crimping stroke, which, by design, is not the case. Again, it is only supposed to start ratcheting near the end of the crimping stroke.By the way, if for some reason the ratchet becomes stuck due to a problem with a connector, etc., you can squeeze the handles just enough to take the pressure off of the ratchet pawl, and then rotate the little “Release” knob counterclockwise to free it up. Don’t force it.One other thing to keep in mind: Keep the tool CLEAN! Dirt or debris in the ratchet mechanism can cause a ratcheting failure. Also, crimping tools like this have precision-cut dies for pressing the connector contacts down into the conductors. It’s important to keep these dies very clean. A little dirt, piece of wire, or other debris in the die can really mess up a crimping job, and possibly damage the die itself.Keep on crimping!A.R.B.

    These work great
Ive used a couple and klein is always the best. These work well making ethernet.

It’s a Klein, quality is built in.
Yes it’s a Klein, overall seems good.I was never a fan of ratchet mechanisms. But that’s a personal thing. For the price, it’s a good starter crimper. It’s easy enough to use, seems like the final crimp on the rj45 connector is a tad tight. But the die should be able to be adjusted to ease it a tad.Value for the money is good, not for the experienced user I don’t believe.Never been a proponent of guide bars to help make cuts standard.Overall performance is good.

    Very effective tool
The tool does multifunctions and does them well

    They fit!
These fit my crimpersThey look exactly like the ones I replaced, except sharp and not rusty. No longer do I have to get tetanus shots once a month!

Finally, crimpers I can use comfortably
THESE ARE AMAZING. Unless you’re on the EZ RJ-45 hype train, grab these. They’re compact, have flawless and smooth ratchet action, and the build quality is top notch. Only terminated 20 plugs so far but none have failed. I had middling expectations, just wanted to try a different style of crimper. I literally gave away my traditional styled fluke crimpers to a good friend who needed a pair. These things are that fantastic. I was worried about getting some cheap knockoff like other reviews state, but I got a legitimate Klein pair. One more note, I have childishly small hands (which is why I wanted to try these) so I enjoy the compact size, but they are smaller than they look in the picture. Just be aware of that if you have human sized hands. This review is for the Compact Ratcheting crimpers.

    This crimper/cutter is OK
The printed instructions are printed too small. But by reading the instructions and the figures on the crimper and experimenting it worked pretty good. It does all that it is supposed to do. I had round internet type cable so I had to improvise a little. I stripped the outside insulation back about 2 inches then untwisted each pair and took each wire by its color and installed it into the connector until full, then crimped the connector after making sure the outside cover was inside the connector, then installed the new assembly into the crimper and closed the handle a couple of times and then trimmed the excess leads with a flush cutting dykes. Plugged it into the router and it was ready to go. This is a good quality tool. I am glad I spent this kind of money to get this tool. It should be reasonable for most technically minded people to use. Klein makes good tools.

Ik had er meer van verwacht. Al enkele keren mijn oude kriptang maar weer gebruikt.Ver van Pro wat mij betreft.

… however I’m NOT a fan of the pass-through RJ45 plugs, they just take me personally too long thr thread them, I can do 2-3 standard RJ45’s in the same time it takes me to do 1 pass-through
