Tools your ancestors would be proud of, and that your descendants will fight over.
I’ll keep it simple: If you’re a professional electrician (or are looking for a gift for one!) these are what you want. If you’re just someone who likes to buy tools once, these are what you’re looking for.I bought these without realizing they were the 8-inch size, and when they arrived I realized they were a duplicate for a tool I already had. Within 3 minutes, however, my old set were on the way to Goodwill. I thought those were good. Maybe they are. But these are tremendous. Strong, perfect alignment, great insulation.Gives you that warm “let’s rewire the house” feeling, just holding them. Recommended.

Seem to be holding their shape well
I finally had enough and replaced my Knipex needlenose pliers, which promptly bent themselves out of shape and have been injuring me in all kinds of ways ever since, with these. The difference is night and day. These pliers are far more sturdy and have a precise gap, so they don’t let go and hit you in the face when you’re trying to pull something with them. I haven’t tested the insulation and I hope I never need to.

    Pro Tools for the Electrician
My electrical tool box was stolen so I needed to replace the basics. Went with this package from Klein tools and very happy! (also had to replace my multi-meter but that’s another story) They do the job and believe me, insulated screwdrivers are your friends if you occasionally need to work on a hot circuit. They are pricey but are also items my children will fight over when I die instead of throwing into the dumpster.I am not a professional electrician, but I am an electrical engineer and do enough work on my own home and that of relatives that having a good set of tools makes any job easier and faster. Highly recommend.

bought these when the more expensive ones wobbled
In preparing for a job I bought a mix of insulated Klein, Knipex, Milwaukee, and Wiha tools. I really liked the Knipex cutters and pliers, but it is hard to find a sturdy needle nose like the Kleins. All of the Knipex versions have fine tips, but if you want to twist a heavy wire, the tips may twist, too. The Kleins have stout needle nose pliers that can twist heavy wire without the tips twisting. After seeing a difference between the better Klein screwdrivers and the budget ones (smaller diameter handles, for one), I wanted to buy the more expensive Klein pliers. Buying the better (pricier) model from a reputable brand, I was very surprised when the handles wobbled. Sure, the tool could be used, but I was expecting a tight joint, and the packaging specifically says no handle wobble (see picture). I checked all of my Knipex tools and they had no play. Maybe I got a bad one, so I tried another. Same thing. Maybe there was a bad batch. I bought another from a different place, thinking it would more likely have come from a different batch, but same thing. See the video for the obvious wobble on the more expensive pliers. I was about to buy the Greenlee, which appears to have stout tips like the Klein, but I thought I would try the lower priced Klein first, the 2038RINS. The first one I received was nice and tight. The handles are a little different than the more expensive ones, and the markings on the metal are different, making it seem like they are made on a different manufacturing line, but they are still made in the USA. I’m sure somebody is getting a D203-8-INS with no wobble, but for me it wasn’t until I bought the 2038RINS that I got a good tool.

  10. Jeff H

Needed an insulated set of long nose pliers. Klein is more money but stuck with the quality. Very happy 👍

  11. Fernando Espinosa

Mejor de lo que creí, se nota la calidad de los materiales, muy cómodas y con un filo brutal, con un excelente precio por las 3. Las recomiendo ampliamente.
