IRWIN Impact Performance Series masonry bits are built for maximum durability and long life with impact drivers. Engineered with a pressed carbide tip with aggressive cutting angles, these durable bits drill fast. They have a one-piece construction that withstands higher torque loads than standard quick-change bits that are built with a two-piece design. These bits have a black oxide finish that resists corrosion and increases the life of the bit, and a 1/4″ quick-change shank that’s designed to work with impact drivers, as well as reduce slipping in standard drill chucks.

I have had bad experiences trying to drill through cinderblock to hang tools and shelves in our basement. I do not only a rotary hammer drill. I have a cordless 20v Kimo hammer drill/driver. All my mason bits would wear down after getting a 1/4 inch into the wall or crumble the cinderblock. So i have been shopping for a good rotary hammer drill. I took a chance on these bits before i put out the money on a new power tool and boy am i happy i did. These bits sink into the block with ease and last for multiple 2 inch holes. I barely had to apply any pressure.

    Faster than expected
Dill bit reviews are a bit subjective. I ordered these after watching a YouTube comparison video but compared them with masonry bits I’ve used in the past. These are hands down the best I’ve ever used. Each hole I drilled (cinder block) was faster than any of the other bits I’ve used and the 8th hole was just as fast as the first one which tells me they’ll hold up. I’m not a pro but for us weekend amateurs these are perfect.

Pretty good. Brick drilling they don’t last long, but for mortar works great

Quality, I expected Irwin to always be a good product
I replaced my Irwin masonry bits with another set of Irwin bits because I couldn’t find my original set. This set is not even close to my other set. One hole that was it. I also bought a set of Irwin drill bits. I hope they are better than the masonry bits.
