Don’t let the low price fool you – these are excellent knives.
What a great set! I like the colored handles that make it easy to get the blade I want. The handles are comfortable to hold, provide a good grip, and are durable. The blades are made from good quality steel that is stiff enough to control, flexible enough to be useful. They hold an edge well, and are no worse to sharpen than any other stainless steel blade. The blade on all but the red handled knife taper from the back to the cutting edge which sure helps their cutting performance. The red handled knife has a 13 cm [5 inch] blade with medium serrations. It is great for slicing tomatoes. The tip is NOT sharpened – but a few minutes with a file and stone and mine is now.The green handled knife has an 8 cm [3 inch] blade and is a general purpose paring knife. This knife alone is arguably worth the price of the four! The yellow handled knife has a straight cutting edge and a curved spine – be careful not to try to use it upside down. The blue handled knife has a 6 cm [2.5 inch] blade that cuts on the inside curve. This makes it hard to sharpen on a flat stone, but the hook shape, short blade, and sharp tip is great for coring strawberries. The blades are magnetic enough the are held secure on my magnet knife rack.

Absolutely Love Them!!! And I didn’t have to go to Germany this time to get my favorite knife…
I’ve been wanting to replace my original paring knife that I bought in Munich back in 1984 to peel/prepare food while we traveled. It soon became my favorite little knife, regardless what knife set I had on the counter. It still works very well and holds a sharp edge, but I’ve used it almost everyday and the plastic has faded.I can, freeze and dry every year. We have a small fruit orchard (100 trees), so I’m constantly peeling and cutting apes, peaches, pears and plums, plus veggies from a 1/2 acre garden. Additionally I often host 40+ peron dinner parties…again, that little plastic handled knife has been my favorite tool.Recently a family member gifted me with this 4 knife set and I’ve been in heaven ever since. With this paring knife set there isn’t anything I can’t tackle in the kitchen. With the longest straight edge, I’ve even deboned chicken thighs and filleted a trout with the semi ridged blade and highly pointed end. Now I understand the measurement term, “Messerspitze”. Cut fresh bread and tomatoes with the serrated knife effortlessly. Peeled literally 100s of apples and plums with the smallest knife. But my favorite is still the yellow handled knife, it’s the same as the one I bought in Munich in 1984, and is now used at every single meal every single day!Yes, they may be made in China, but they are manufactured under strict German standards. YOU WILL NOT REGRET THE PURCHASE!!!Buy a set for you, and a set for anyone you care about…especially if they are just a new cook.

A realistic honest review
So many reviews moaning that this 4 piece paring set is made in China. Yes, they are. It says so in the description and on the knives in the pictures. If those reviewers bothered to read and zoom in on the pics, they wouldnât be so disappointed when their bad assumptions failed them. This set is just $20 in April 2022; $5/knife with a lifetime warranty. You are not getting the equivalent German made knife set at that price. Last time a Henkel set like this was $20, Nixon or Carter was President. One has to be delusional or way out of touch to think they can get this set made in Germany set for $20.If you want a version of this set made in Germany, you can. Go a premium reseller, a department store like Macyâs. There you will find the equivalent set made in Germany. The cost is nearly 4 times what this made in China set is. Maybe they hold their edge better or have other quality worth that. You can decide if itâs worth it for you. This China made set is fair price for mass market knife set like this. I used them once so far. They cut well, clean up well, easy to maneuver in hand which is what you want in a paring knife. Time will tell how well they keep their edge. I suspect they will work and last at least as well if not better than most other comparable sets at this price. If not, thereâs that lifetime warranty available. Be sure to register, there is a gift when you do. I just did and they are sending me another knife.

Great knife set with a tool for every job.
These knives arrived in perfect condition and very sharp. The blades have remained sharp for the couple months Iâve had them. I use at least one of them every single day. Theyâre easy to clean and are just perfect for prep work. I highly recommend them.

Nice range in utility
I like the colors and varying blade sizes. So far these have held up really nicely, but still a great value in price.
