Daily Carry is all about tools that integrate easily into your lifestyle. The GDC Zip Blade is designed to do just that. This light but tough fine edge utility blade includes a fob for attachment to the zipper of a backpack, seat bag, or coat. The quick-release clip allows for the tool to be easily removed and reattached, and the blade features a frame lock for safety. Having this tool on your pack will get you out of more jams that you’ll be able to count, and even when it’s not in use it just looks damn good.

EVER-READY BLADE: The quick-release clip lets you remove this tool with one hand. When open, a frame lock keeps blade secure, so there’s no wobble when you’re powering through a cut. A built-in fob lets you attach it to the zipper of your jacket or bag.
EVERY DAY CARRY: Part of Gerber’s Daily Carry collection, this Zip Blade is the bulldog of utility knives. Squat enough to fit in the palm of your hand, it has enough muscle to strip wire, cut cardboard, and slice through toughest of clamshell packaging.
PREPARED: We know being prepared isn’t a state of being so much as a philosophy. Sometimes the job’s cutting twine or slicing open a box; try those things without a blade enough times and you’ll appreciate the compact efficiency of the GDC Zip Blade.

So handy, use it daily. Great on key chains (esp. for females).
Love this thing, got one for me, my bf, and my brother. All of us have it on our key chains, you would be surprised how often you will use this thing. Works great for opening packages, cutting strings off clothes, etc; sharp, small blade with sturdy structure. Light weight and easily detaches from the loop for more mobile use. Also ladies, gives some piece of mind having a small blade on you at all times like me. Is a little difficult to open if you do not have nails but you want that in a blade so it does not spontaneously open. Overall, awesome and affordable. Great stocking stuffer or just for no reason at all!

Handy
Very small, inconspicuous and handy. This knife is about the size of your thumbnail. Its very short, but enough to open packages, cut rope, or do any number of daily tasks. It intended to be tied to a zipper as a zipper pull, and looks like a large zipper pull, rather than a knife. It’s a very firm liner lock. Blade is sharp. Finish is a little weird (grey handle, black bade, big black screw and neon green washers.Half of it threads through the eye on a zipper, and you tie it off with a larkshead knot (pull the whole thing through the look), and the knife clips on and off of the strap with a reasonably secure, yet accessible plastic clip in the middle of the nylon strap. Nice design. He’s something I’m on the fence about. There are places that don’t allow locking knives on the street. It would be nice if this was available as a friction folder, that doesn’t lock. You could take it apart with two T-8 bits, and cut the liner off, or pry the liner to the outside of the handle, wedge the lip of the washer under the liner lock, and reassemble it, to temporarily disable the locking feature but I don’t know for if that would satisfy law enforcement in places that ban locking knives, and then you run the risk of the blade closing on your finger (there isn’t much room to hold it, as it stands). It’s just one little thing. All and all, a handy knife to slip on the zipper of a coat of bag, and never be without a knife (just remember to take it off if you travel by airplane).

Sharp little tool
Donât let the size of this unit fool you. It is the perfect size to keep on my keys. I use it almost daily while at work to open packages. Very sharp and easy to open and close. Very well made. Went ahead and ordered a few more to put up for stocking stuffers for Christmas.

Neat little knife.
I haven’t had the need to use this yet, but I have cut up some cardboard with it, just to check it out.No matter how small you think this is, it’ll be smaller than you were expecting when you get in your hands. I have it hanging on my jacket’s zipper pull and I don’t even notice it. It’s nice to know that I’ve got an emergency blade on me if I’m without my EDC (which isn’t very often). I also have a little Victorinox on my keychain, so I doubt I’ll ever have a real NEED for this, but it’s still nice to know it’s there. It’s so small and so cheap, you can keep one in the tackle box, one in the glove box, one for the purse, one on your fall jacket, one on your winter coat, one on your pack or bookbag, give ’em away as cool little gifts…The blade is remarkably sturdy for something so small. It doesn’t feel like a “toy” knife. The frame lock secures the blade beyond any fear of it closing on you. The blade also seats on a ball bearing when closed, so it’s a little tough to open (long nails may break). The blade seats a little past the 90 degree point (seats, NOT locks) too, so you can hook your finger over the back of the blade to use as a pulling hook blade, rather than fully opening it to the locking position. Blade was pretty sharp, but don’t expect to shave with it. The blade is also stout enough to use as a small pry tool (would have no risk of damage levering up the pull tab on a soup can, for example) although Gerber probably would say it’s a cutting blade, not a pry tool. Still, for $7, who cares? You could even use the back of the blade as a small scraping tool. It’s surprisingly comfortable and feels pretty good in the hand. You really get solid purchase on it. It doesn’t “swim” in your hand, nor feel too small to be useful.I’d recommend this to anyone from homemaker to student to outdoorsperson. Great stocking stuffer.

Too heavy
Too heavy for its intended use!!! For such a small knife, this thing is surprisingly heavy. That might not bother most customers, but it makes the knife useless for me.However, on the positive side, this knife is built like a tank. It is solid! If you don’t mind the weight, I think you’ll be happy with this very small knife. This knife is designed to be worn on lanyard (as one option). But if it is swinging around on the end of a lanyard and it hits you in the wrong spot, it will cause serious pain due to its mass. Most of that mass resides in the pivot bolt. There’s simply no reason for that, in my opinion. It does not add functionality or sturdiness to the knife. It makes it heavy for no reason.I found a knife I like much better:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000EI0VVQThe Buck Knives 283 Nano Bantam Folding Pocket Knife has a better blade, a better form factor, and it weighs significantly less (only about 20 grams). It does not cost much more (maybe a dollar or two more, depending on the day on Amazon), but it is a far more functional knife and the light weight makes it far more versatile in my opinion.

Itty Bitty Cutter
This is a great emergency super mini Keychain knife. Great for cutting string, tags, tape, just small stuff. This folding mini knife is probably only an inch long with maybe a half inch blade. I bought it for $15.00. I wouldn’t pay more than that for it. But I think it’s useful. 8/10 for a mini Keychain knife.

Decent value, could do some damage with it
At a pinch, if you’re in a bind, backed into a corner with the odds against you with nothing to lose. Pull this wee bad boy out and go to town.

This has got to be the coolest little knife in my collection. It is a perfect size for a zipper pull. main knife is all metal has a nylon strap going to a clip. The clip is very snug and can be difficult to get off but I take this as a good thing as I would not want the knife to fall off my clothes if it were being used as a zipper pull. Knife is locked in place which is why it can be hard to open again this is good as you would not want it to open on you while wearing it. once open the knife is great and very sharp.I highly recommend this knife.
