    Extremely high quality
Engineer makes some of the nicest, high-quality pliers I’ve ever seen or used. Everything lines up perfectly, and they function very smoothly. They cut precisely and are extremely sharp. I’m definitely buying more Engineer pliers, especially the Neji-saurus line. I don’t expect to ever have a problem with these little cutters.

    Great Side Cutters
These are my favorite micro side cutters/nippers. They feel good in the hand and are made of quality steel (at least quality enough to hold an edge with repeated use). I have broken other (cheaper) micro nippers but have yet to break a set of these. These are well worth the price.

    High quality and sharp!
    High quality materials, sharp.

  4. Benjamin McGill

They are everything you could hope for in side cutters.
The grips are soft, comfortable, and yet still grippy. They feel very well made with out being super heavy

Perfect for IT work except you’ll lose it.
I cut wire ties and category cable regularly to install RJ45 connectors working in racks. I have been using the very good crescent 4” nips found at Home Depot for a long time. Same as the excelite. As usual going job to job I lose them once in a while and decided to search for something better. Looked at knipex, bought a few others that were quite pricey. I don’t buy cheap ones anymore outside the crescent.Wasn’t sure if this would make a nice clean straight cut as the top of the unit looks slightly curved. It makes perfect, flush, sharp cuts of 8 conductors of ethernet. It has an incredibly sharp cut and makes a nice “snap” instead of a “mush” of any sort as you cut. As good as anything I’ve tried and it’s $20. It’s pretty awesome.Handle has a nice feel, it’s got some nice give.Only 2 complaints:1. While I actually like the black handle aesthetic, I want my tools neon. You’re working, you place it on a black rack shelf or the ground… you’ll never find black again. It’s the worst color for working in the field. Give me neon green or orange and I’m happy.2. Working very close to some white walls or shelving, the handle touched the white surfaces and left black marks. Like the soles of a black shoe on a basketball court. I managed to get them off, but… my others never did this. These are minor complaints overall for a tool that just feels right. If you’re a pro, you’ll understand what I mean by “feel”. Many tools do the same job but your favorite one always feels good to use for a dozen reasons. This is one of those. I recommend. If someone from Engineer reads this, please put a neon stripe on the handle or offer another color. It’s too small and easy to lose. I can’t even find it in my tool pouch as easily. Anyway I bought two… because I already know someone else will find a free tool at some point.I had to but neon green heat shrink for these. You’ll the photo of black handles versus green on something black. Inside racks it’s often dark, and all components and rack shelves are black. Please change the color.

    Fantastic nippers!
The tool is small and easy to get into tight spaces, but still feels sturdy and premium. The nipper blades are sharp and not damaged at all. Very happy!

    Quality
Quality and can be used on most any job.

So I got these on a whim because I was reading a post on a Warhammer 40k forum and someone was gushing about these clippers. I am new to the hobby and have been using a pair of wire cutters from Michael’s and scissors from a hobby kit to remove models from sprues. My flush cutters were too small and while the scissors worked they were hard on my hands and started to give me a callus. I was sick of warping or breaking bits because of the low quality scissors I had and the review I read pushed me over the edge.First thing I want to commend has nothing to do with the product and it’s the packaging. It’s in what looks like a plastic blister case that’s going to be annoying to deal with but it’s easy to unpack it with nothing more than your hands. What is amazing about these clippers compared to what I had is how easily they cut through plastic sprues. It requires so little force that sometimes you wonder if you even did anything at all. There’s a spring in there that makes the activation feel fluid in a manner I didn’t think possible.I don’t have to worry about tiny bits breaking during shipping but I do have a warning if you’re using this for hobbying. Make sure you’re accurate with where you place these because they will cut right through whatever is placed under them. Also, while you are able to attach this to a keyring as per the listing and packaging but it doesn’t actually come with a keyring so you’ll have to bring your own keyring.

The Precision Mini/Micro Side Cutters are a must-have for electronics work. The hardened carbon steel jaws provide sharp, clean cuts, even on fine wires. Their compact design is great for tight spaces, and the ESD-safe, comfortable handles ensure easy, extended use without hand fatigue. These snips are professional-grade, perfect for PCB assembly and detailed work. After weeks of use, they’re still performing flawlessly with no dulling of the blades. Highly recommended for anyone working on electronics!

perfekte Qualität – eben typisch “Made in Japan”

  12. Michael Koerner
