Tools are great in every way, BUT totally disappointed in the batteries.
I understand how they kept the price down on this set, the batteries amp hour rating is carefully not mentioned in the description, it’s not even two-amp hours… they are 1.7- amp hours… I’m really disappointed that the tool that sucks the most amps ever (grinder) comes with the smallest battery!!! Really seems underhanded… I’m going to keep the set, My fault… I should have paid attention and the tools are great. I have many other batteries, but I will definitely look closer next time at what’s not mentioned in the description before ordering. Just Be aware they may look like 4amp hour batteries, they are not, they are just smaller all around and look like them from the profile.

Comes with two 1.7 Amp hour batteries – Not enough for the grinder.
Let me start by saying I like DeWalt tools very much. So much that I buy them for my son and son-in-law at Christmas. My son-in-law’s tools were stolen after a garage break-in this past summer. I thought this kit was a good black Friday deal, I looked at the specs for the batteries but couldn’t find them. All it said in the description is that two batteries and charger were included and had 50% more power. I took a chance. To my disappointment the two batteries were rated at meager 1.7 amp hours. Enough for some light hand drilling but not anywhere near enough for using the grinder. Someone in DeWalt Marketing needs a kick in the butt. 50% more power than what? A one amp battery?
