    Key ring tool
I just received this tool. It is everything I expected and more. It is built very well and will last a long time. I have the Gerber Shard. I compares very favorably to it. It is actually a better tool. I don’t like the bend in the Shard. I store these tools with a Leatherman in the multitool sheath. The Shard takes up too much space. The CRKT is straight making it slimmer and taking up less space to store. The hook is very sharp and work well. The pry bar is hefty and also works well. Overall this is a great small tool. Keep in mind it is limited by its size. I prefer prying with this tool rather than my Leatherman. I would recommend this tool as long as buyers are aware it is limited by its size.

    sturdy construction and minimalist design.
great minimal keychain multi-tool. It comes with a small black silicone cover that goes on the top 1/3rd of the tool and stays on well in my pocket.I haven’t had to use the seat belt cutter on an actual seat belt (thankfully) but it works great on rubber bands or other tags. I like having this tool on my keychain just in case of emergency. very sturdy construction and material. would buy again.

Nice to have a tool that isn’t in my pocket
I got this to start slimming up all the things I have in my pockets at work. It works great and is sharp enough to cut restraints. The sheath lasted like two days before it fell off and was never seen again. But it only catches one pocket occasionally.

  4. Felipe Amezola

    Very convenient!
Love this product! I use this product for work and it’s super convenient to have on my person. It’s small and gets the job done. I also have an extra one in my car in case I need it.

    Great practical tool to have
Working as a grip I typically cut a lot of gels and diffusion of off 4′ rolls. And occasionally it can be uncomfortable wielding a knife or razer around talent and others. I started looking for something less intimidating and safer to use. And stumbled upon a Kershaw knife with a seat belt cutter. The light bulb went off and I was surprised how well it worked! Then when I saw the Columbia the light bulb went off again. I keep it on my belt loop with a snap swivel. Instant grab.Cuts gels to edge of frames. Easy to use and no one has a knife pointing at them.Having it for a couple of months I’ve found it’s very practical for other uses around the house. Now it’s a permanent item I carry.

    Works great
My brother-in-law was a EMT and a paramedic for Levi county in Florida he gave me one as a gift and I keep it on my key ring all the time. He would give them out also to all his students as a gift when they passed his courses as a paramedic when he was teaching it

  7. James Burke

    Small but heavy duty.
A nice compact design. Be careful, it looks like you are buying 2 of these but it’s just one. The image shows it with the protective cover on and off.My only complaint so far is that the protective rubber cover will not stay on the tool. Otherwise the ring and the tool both seem to be durable. I like the mix of tools including the O2 bottle wrench. I don’t know how many times I’ve dropped the O2 wrench and had to scramble trying to find it in the grass, rocks and etc. while we were working. Great backup to have in case the wrench decides to vanish or break.

  8. Jeremy Burns

    Very useful and safe
I work in a secure facility where you cannot carry knives or tools, but I am able to secure this to my key lanyard. I have used it to tighten screws, odd cutting jobs, and cleaning my nails. The plastic cover lasted about two days and the hook does sometimes snag, but I have yet to have it cut anything I did not want it to. It is a well designed tool, that is safe and easily secured

  9. K Michalak

If in front pocket of jeans it does get caught on pocket as you pull out key ring. But looks like it will function as should

  10. Stodders

A great bit of kit that’s handy and could literally save your life with the seatbelt cutter.
