Perfect kit for your junk drawer in the house or the extra tools for your bike or camping kits
Craftsman always makes solid value tools. My cheapy ratchet screw driver broke so this gave me a great excuse to upgrade to this kit. Works really well. The bits are well made and seem to really well too. A must have for your home projects or garage projects or just a spare kit for the car or or motorcycle

No Regrets…
This seems to be a “love or hate” product when you read the reviews. For me…Not having nut drivers was no big deal. The listing didn’t offer them and I already have them.I bought the set for what it was, ratcheting screw driver with phillips, straight, hex head, square head and torx tips. There was also mention of “not fitting in the case”. But, if you released the extension from it’s first position, it drops into the handle and easily fits in the case.I did not like how the magnetic wand fit in the extension and after reading areview that mentioned how a person solved the “not fitting in the case” issue, I did exactly what the reviewer described. I removed the ratchet head and the lock ring that prevented the extension from coming out of the handle. (See the first photo). Now the extension comes out of handle and the magnetic wand fits into the handle without the extension. Please know, if you do this, the extension slides out easily, when not locked into one of the length settings. This may have been why the ring was put on, so that certain users wouldn’t complain about the extension “falling out”.For me, this is exactly how I wanted the screw driver to be, so I’m happy and thank that reviewer. As to tips not directly fitting into the ratchet head and falling into the handle…. that hasn’t been the case with this one. The second photo shows the PH3 tip that came with the set, sitting directly in the ratchet head. The tip is seated and will not push through. The only difference between being directly in the ratchet head vs. the extension, is that it fits a little looser (as the ratchet head is not magnetized like the extension).I did not expect the magnetic wand to be as strong as it is. There is pic that shows my car keys, 4 feet in the air, with the extension bending slightly under the weight of them. This pick up also paid for the set by retrieving an oil plug that fell into the drain pan during an oil change. The thing I find weird with the screwdriver, is that the extension does not lock in when seated all the way in against the ratchet head. It has to be extended to the first notch to be locked in. This is why it doesn’t fit the case, unless it is released. This is shown in the third photo. But, as I can remove the extension and use the ratchet head directly, it doesn’t matter to me.For the price, it ratchets in both directions, locks to become a solid driver and is comfortable in the hand. There are multiple tips, telescoping magnetic pick up and case. For what I’ve done with it, it’s been great and should be even better when I magnetize the ratchet head.

Good ratcheting screw driver and fits in case.
This a a great ratcheting screwdriver driver that can extend. The case is cheap and not a fan of the elastic holders for the bits but it works. The people leaving reviews and videos about the screwdriver not fitting in the case are completely wrong. It does fit, you just have to take a few seconds to figure it out. There are reviews that show how easy it is to completely close the case.

GREAT PRODUCT
Just got mine today and damn is it a great tool. My only concern is how some other buyers got one in which the rod can be fully removed while others got the one that CANT be taken out.

These people who think “it doesn’t fit in the case”…
So…I’ve had one of these sets for a couple years…and it’s great. I think it’s really innovative the way that Craftsman made the telescoping shaft in a ratcheting screwdriver. FWIW I am a former professional mechanic, although I’ve moved on to other professions, I still do all my maintenance on my racing motorcycles, farm equipment, etc. I wouldn’t say this unit is as good as the Snap-On ratcheting screwdriver that I use all the time in the shop…but it’s pretty darned good, especially for the cost.I just bought a second one to carry in my new race trailer that I’m setting up. When I glanced at the reviews, I was flabbergasted by all the people who were ranting about OMG IT DOESN’T FIT IN THE CASE!!!1!!!one. Umm…it fits fine. You need to be smarter than the tool in your hand to use it properly though. The telescoping shaft has to be pushed ALL THE WAY into the handle to neatly zip into the case. I have no idea how this doesn’t occur to people. It’d be like getting mad at your carry-on luggage not fitting in the overhead because you neglected to push the handle back in.Pro tip: push the telescoping shaft all the way into the handle, then put it in the case. BTW, the way that the screwdriver ships (as seen in the package) the shaft is out a little way, at the last retaining notch…but it will go in further than that.Actually came back to order a 3rd unit to use as a gift to my brother – especially now that the set is on sale for like $15. That is an insanely good deal…maybe the best deal in hand tools.

It’s a really good screwdriver
I wanted a much nicer screwdriver than the ones I have. This is a much nicer screwdriver than the ones I had. Most recently it’s been a pleasure using it on assembling a troublesome dish holder. The holder needed a lot of finesse to be put together in a functional way, and the ratcheting of this screwdriver was very helpful. Sooooo much better than using the one contained in the product’s box, or the screwdrivers I already have.I’m also glad I picked this one with it’s interchangeable bits. A full set at home would be a drag to store and lug around. It feels like quality too.

Screw driver set
The handle seems to be slightly too big for the included holder

The smooth and precise ratcheting action not only saves time but also reduces hand fatigue, making it a joy to use for extended periods. The multibit set that comes with the screwdriver is incredibly versatile. With a variety of bits included, I always have the right tool for the job at hand. The bits are well-made and fit securely into the screwdriver, ensuring a snug connection that eliminates the frustration of slipping or wobbling during use.The ergonomic design of the handle deserves a special mention. It provides a comfortable grip, and the textured surface adds an extra layer of control. The overall build quality is exceptional â sturdy and durable, giving me confidence that this tool will withstand heavy use over time.I appreciate the onboard bit storage, which keeps everything organized and easily accessible. No more fumbling around for the right bit when I need it â the CRAFTSMAN Ratcheting Screwdriver keeps everything within reach and ready for action.Whether I’m working on household repairs or tackling DIY projects, this screwdriver has proven itself time and again. I have had a 110+ Craftsman tool set for many years and love it but weâre missing almost all of the screwdriver bits. This has made up for those missing items and as always a great quality product. Iâm not sure why some people are moaning about it not fitting in the case. They realise the length is adjustable right??
