  1. The Diabolical F

    Great saw!
Lightweight, cuts like a banshee, no exposed blade when closed, perfect for keeping in your hiking/bushcraft pack.

    Great handsaw
Cuts like butter. Take care of this saw and it’ll last a long time. Comfortable to hold, folds up well.

    Best packable saw
I got a folding saw for the backpack a while back (the green & black brand.) I found that the teeth were too aggressive to get my cut started easily. Knives & saws need to be sharp & fit your ergonomics in order to be safe. The green & black saw just didn’t work for me.This Corona saw cuts pretty effortlessly, once you make your starting cut. My 8yr old son can use it safely to get wood for s’mores fires & whittling. It is nice to give him some independence & know he will be safe.It is easy to close the blade into the handle & it then locks securely for travel or returning to the pack. Our rule is to always sheath your knife, hatchet, saw etc…as soon as you stop making your cut. The corona saw makes it so easy to do that; no one will be tempted to walk through the woods with an exposed blade.I like these saws. They are light, strong, pack small & safely , & cut very well. I’m going to put one in every pack.

    Nicely made
Light weight, but sturdy (as long as you cut on the pull stroke). Very aggressive teeth make easy cutting. Way more affordable than a Silky.

    maybe the best
Works just as described, I’d say this is one of the best bush crafting or pruning saws that you could buy there’s others that go for way more that don’t do anything better than this one.

  6. Amazon Customer

    Ergonomic and fast
Impressed with how easily this saw cuts. Have been using it on sizable buckthorn trunks. Ergonomic and fast.

    Light Saber for Camping/Bushcraft
I’ve been making the rounds with these hand-held saws. I had some sort of compulsion to buy every one of them I saw on sale, which has resulted in a weird pile of these saws, but also affords me the opportunity to try them out. For those in the know, I have: Silky Gomby, Laplander, Gerber Change a Blade, SOG, and now the Corona. The Corona is by far the biggest and bulkiest, but….Damn! It really is a chainsaw. It makes all of the others feel flimsy and puny. Once you get the blade going, it cuts like butter (with the Silky). The reason I prefer this to the Silky is just how robust if feels. I’ve only had it a few months, so I can’t attest to the long term viability, but so far I’ve been so impressed that I think nothing of carrying the extra weight in my pack, as the performance is so far above the competition. Now…this is the bigger version, so it might be an apples and oranges comparison. I think there is a 7 or 8″ version, but I am actually comparing via price point, as this cost about what my other saws did. On another note…the Gerber is absolute trash. The Laplander is small and handy, but not fast. The SOG is big and fun, but flimsy. Not much more to add folks. If space and weight is not a premium, this is the beast to carry.

    Game changing!
The weather in Texas has finally become bearable for doing work outdoors. As it turns out, I really didn’t need to wait until October to raze a sizeable collection of lady palms which have fiber covered canes. With this saw I was able to quickly and easily sever even the more well developed canes. I expected the job to take hours based on how long it took me to trim the tops off a number of palms while using a battery operated jigsaw. How long did it take to clear the ground? I’m guessing 20 minutes and I’m not exaggerating. The blade of this saw is incredibly sharp and effective. It’s a remarkable saw at an unbeatable price.

Get one!I used this to cut fresh wet logs 4-5 inches in diameter. I’d never used a hand saw before, certainly never while kneeling on the ground in the bush.It took about 6 seconds on my first try.It cut perfectly clean.I couldn’t believe how quick and easy it was.I couldn’t believe how effortlessly it cut through the thick boughs.Excellent value for the price. A holster would have been nice, but I can pick on up easily enough.Always remember what I heard a bushcraft enthusiast say:”It’s ALWAYs better to cut with a saw than an axe. Axes are far more dangerous to use, and they are heavier to carry. Always use a saw.”This thing weights very little, folds up very small and CUTS LIKE CRAZY.Get one.At $35, this is a steal. It will last 20 years if you take care of it.Cut more wood. Sweat and swear less.

Does exactly what it’s supposed to. Very sturdy. Can cut pretty thick branches on shrubs. It has been very well used since buying and has performed every time.

  12. gpHiggsBoson

Easy to use and sharp. Bought another.

Apparently an upgrade from the previous model and seems to be best in class. Cuts very well, light weight, locking system works, well priced.
