The teeth cut in both directions like a Japanese woodworking saw with no kerf
I grabbed all of these I could when they were a low priced add on purchase. These are the real thing, extremely high quality. You can not cut through nails, but you can flush cut wood with almost no kerf with these beauties. The teeth cut in both directions like a Japanese woodworking saw with no kerf. This feature can be very handy in other situations besides the need to flush cut. No kerf means a long, straight and razor thin cut. These work with the Bosch 1640VS flush cut hand saw which was also a bargain, I think maybe because corded power tools are becoming dinosaurs as we all get used to the power and convenience of the new cordless tools. If you are working a lot with the tool, the electric cord may actually be more liked.

Works Fine
I used it to cut door jams for a flooring project. Very clean cuts, no sanding needed to dress up edges. Like another reviewer said, it’s a good idea to have a spare on hand, it gets dulled pretty badly when you hit the hidden nails. Easy to attach/detach/swap sides. After some trial and error, I used the “regular” (not fine tooth) blade to finish the cut when I hit a nail. It seemed to cut the nails quicker and didn’t get dulled as badly. Start your cut with this blade and if you hit a nail switch to the “regular” blade. You’ll still have a nice clean cut.

Great for undercutting door jambs.
I have used these Bosch flush cutting blades for many years for undercutting door jambs prior to installing tile or wood floors. I use a scrap piece of the material I’m going to be installing, lay it flat on the floor, lay the flush cut blade flat on top of the material, and cut straight in. The blades are thin so that the extra material removed by the saw blade leaves a tiny expansion gap between the trim and the top of the new flooring. If you are installing tile, make sure you leave additional space for the underlayment and thin set material.

Qualigy tool
Ordered for my husband. Was cheaper hear then at our local hardware stores. He uses it a lot. We are redoing our floors, laying laminate flooring and new baseboards and crown molding and this saw has been a wonderful tool to use. It has finer and sharper tools than his old one.

Stay away from hidden nails and this blade will last for many jobs. I considered the purchase at the time I bought to be quite reasonable.
