    It is Bahco….It’s Good
This is the only brand of saw blade to invest in. They are incredibly sharp and durable. I have both the greenwood and the drywood models and they both work incredibly well.

  2. James Savage

    cuts well
This is a really nice saw blade. I used it the other day to cut down a Christmas tree with my family in our backyard. It only took a few easy passes to cut the tree without binding even though the blade is supposed to be for “dry wood.”

Only place I could find a dry wood blade
Purchased this for a replica bow saw I made for a presentation. Couldn’t find a fine tooth blade anywhere but here. Works great.

  4. Dfu

    Cross cut 21” 51-21
Mostly my fault, but I wanted a blade for a framing saw. I received this and it only has 4-5 TPI, so NOT FOR FINE WOODWORKING! It did exceptionally well at rough cutting dry wood, but did not perform as well when trying to rip cut. So, in summary, works well if you want to ROUGH CUT with Cross cutting dry wood.

Best all-around Bahco bow saw blade
This is my favorite bow saw blade. I tried the other blade for green wood and I still prefer this dry wood blade. The teeth on the green blade are larger and further apart. The teeth on the dry wood blade are finer and closer together. It takes more back and forth strokes with the dry blade but the effort is far less than the green wood blade. The dry wood blade is the one to get and my choice if I had to choose only one blade for my Bahco bow saw. The blade also lasts quite a long time. I only replaced mine after many uses of sawing through some super-dense wood of a tree stump.

    sharp
It was way better than the pother brands I tried lately

    Good blade
Cuts very well. I prefer a blade designed for dry wood for cutting firewood while camping. The typical bowsaw blade is a green wood design, suitable for pruning, and cutting next years firewood.I got this for a folding bucksaw that I built. On a recent camping trip it handled four inch hard maple with ease–better than expected–and also was very efficient with small thumb size sticks (which I did not expect).

Excellent blades so far. Cutting logs up to 9″ thick is enjoyable again (at 75). I now have 2 new Bahco blades. A raker toothed one is in a new Bahco bowsaw frame and I like the smooth tensioner. A peg toothed one is in my old frame and replaces a cheaper hard point blade which, after about 1000 cuts of 5-6″ dried Lawson Cypress logs wouldn’t cut deeper than an inch no matter how tight the wing nut and the blade couldn’t be reset. I always despised our throwaway culture but I’m hopeful these blades will outlive me and I won’t need to confess in a negative review. I now know why my grandfather asked me to cut his logs. I was ignorant about sharpening or setting them and struggled for years with all his old saws until I bought a new hard point one and suddenly realised the fault hadn’t been mine. It’s too early for a proper review but I’m recommending to friends that these aren’t expensive and cut so easily that no-one has to worry about building big muscles and no, I’m not trying to con a wife or young ones into cutting the logs!
