Good for a basic tool kit
I bought this so I could put a starter tool kit together for a young family member. At the time, this was one of the least expensive tool bags on Amazon with good reviews. If you keep a couple of things in mind, this is worth buying. This isn’t a Veto Pro Pac and it never will be. You’re buying a bag that is less than $20, not $180+, so set your expectations accordingly. This is an ideal bag for an entry level tool kit, like the one that I put together. You won’t spend very much on the bag so you can devote a little more money toward the contents. The one I put together held a socket set, hammer, screwdrivers, a couple of pliers, and a few other hand tools. Enough tools, in other words, to do some basic maintenance around the house or tackle some light repairs. This is also a nice tool bag for something application-specific. I have a similar bag that holds my PC repair tools. It has an Xcelite tool roll with screw/nut drivers, an interface cable so I can connect to both IDE and SATA hard drives, a bunch of interface cables/chargers, some bootable USB drives with repair tools, etc. This is my first line of defense when I have to repair or modify a computer and it has everything I need in one place so I can grab and go.This would also make a good bag for a vehicle emergency kit. It’s large enough to hold a portable jump pack, a tire plug kit, a first aid kit, and maybe a bottle of water. Most people won’t be inclined to change an alternator by the side of the road so you probably won’t need much more than this. It will tuck out of the way in the trunk and keep things from scattering all over the place.Organization is OK. A couple of external pockets, a couple of internal pockets, and a black hole in the middle where you’ll end up throwing most of your tools. The external pockets are open-topped and relatively wide so anything you put in them is prone to bouncing out and getting lost if the bag is jostled. The inside pockets are good for pliers, side cutters, flashlights, that kind of thing. Most other tools will be in the large center compartment so you’ll end up rummaging around in there, but that’s pretty much par for the course with small tool bags like this. It isn’t large enough for anything to get really lost, and by the time you need better organization you’ll probably have outgrown this thing.Over the years I’ve ended up with several work bags because I end up changing or upgrading my tool loadouts and the old bags no longer work for me. With an inexpensive bag like this, if you outgrow it you’re not out much money. The one that I gifted hasn’t seen much use so I can’t comment on durability, but the quality looks fine. Way better than I expected for $20, and comparable to some of the entry-level Husky bags (of which I own 2).If I needed a small, inexpensive tool bag, I’d probably buy this again. It has a decent amount of organization, costs less than most of the tools you will put inside it, and seems to be well made.

Great bag at a great price.
This is my second one. Just the right size for screwdrivers, pliers, and such without taking up too much room. Perfectly fine quality as well.

Great Quality and Spacious Tool Bag
I am thoroughly impressed with its quality and functionality. Here are the key points that stood out to me:Durable Construction: The bag is made from high-quality, wear-resistant material that feels sturdy and durable. It can handle the rigors of daily use without showing signs of wear and tear.Spacious Interior: The 16-inch size is perfect for carrying a wide range of tools. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I could fit inside â everything from wrenches and screwdrivers to power tools.Convenient Design: The bag features multiple pockets and compartments, which help keep my tools organized and easily accessible. There are pockets of various sizes, perfect for storing smaller items like screws, nails, and bits.Comfortable Strap: The included shoulder strap is well-padded and adjustable, making it comfortable to carry even when the bag is fully loaded. The handles are also reinforced and comfortable to grip.Stable Base: The wear-resistant base provides excellent stability, preventing the bag from tipping over even when it’s packed with heavy tools. It also protects the bottom of the bag from dirt and moisture.Great Value: For the price, this tool bag offers excellent value. Itâs a high-quality product thatâs built to last and performs as well as more expensive brands.Overall, I am extremely satisfied with the Amazon Basics Durable Wear-Resistant Base, Tool Large Standard Bag with Strap, 16 Inch.

Perfect size
Itâs a great size and is good quality. It holds all my tools for the car. It is so small to include the jumper cables too, but I went the smaller bag. My cables are tucked in with the spare. So, it works for me. Enjoy!

12 inch tool bag
Definitely surprised at the quality of manufacturing. Sturdy deep and just the right size. I’m just a guy that YouTubes and fixes stuff instead of paying somebody so hardly a mechanic! Holds all of the tool sit I know how to use!! Lol I highly recommend this. It’s got little outside pockets for organization. Again feels very sturdy and there’s inner support. Can’t beat it for the price.

Zipper jumps track
The bag seems well built but the zipper pins are a loose fit. They easily jump track and skip a pin or two especially when rounding the corner down the side of the bag. If it zips up straight, it holds fine, but it has to be zipped carefully. The first time it jumped track with me was when it first arrived and I was playing with it with no tools in it.I bought a Milwaukee tool bag also the same size and within a dollar or so the same price to see which one is better. They are very similar, but the Milwaukee zipper seems to work fine.I have Dewalt tools, but their tool bags are crap. They disintegrate too fast, the handles break off, and get holes worn in the bottoms from tools rubbing the inside.

I bought one of these earlier this year to keep my tools vaguely organized on my sailboat. Metal toolboxes would scratch the fibreglass, and even if they didn’t they would rust away pretty quickly in the marine environment so I made the switch to a tool bag instead of a toolbox like I’d used for the past forty years. I wish I’d switched years ago! So when I needed a new tool carrying and organizing solution for home, there was only one choice in my mind – THIS!POSITIVES:1) Sturdy. I don’t abuse this bag that much, but it gets chucked around a fair amount, and that’s with a literal sackful of screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers, and a hammer or two inside. After a year I can’t tell the difference between the old one and the one I just bought. I have no doubt that this will last as well as a metal toolbox, and if it doesn’t it was cheap enough that I won’t mind replacing it.2) Space. This is big enough to hold all the tools that I need access to. A full wrench set, two sizes of slipjoint pliers, two sizes of Crescent wrenches, a dozen screwdrivers, half a dozen pliers, a hammer, and a few other odds and bobs all fit in it. If I tried to carry any more stuff I doubt I’d be able to lift it!3) Soft sides. I can’t tell you the number of times over the decades that I’ve banged a toolbox into a wall or door or side of a shelf – or car (YIKES!) – and every time the evidence is clear. With this, I can be just as clumsy but nobody can tell.4) Affordable. I’d love it if this was half the price (who wouldn’t?), but really, I think it is affordable for what it offers. Look through the other options and there is nothing this size for this price.NEGATIVES:1) The inner pockets are pretty short. They could be a lot more useful for keeping pliers and such where I could find them if they were a little taller.2) The “Amazon Basics” logo is well-stitched but in my opinion does not add to the experience of owning this toolbag. If it were a simple grey and black bag I think I’d prefer it.Bottom line: This bag meets all my basic tool needs, and at a price point that I don’t mind.
