    Great value
Excellent sockets. A real bargain for the money.

  2. Smitty

    They worked
I used these sockets while replacing the water pump on a 2007 North Star engine. They worked just fine. They seem like they will last for a while.

    Excellent quality socket set
These are excellent sockets. They fit into places that my SK and Gearwrench flex sockets do not. They have a pin-less design making the diameter of the universal slimmer as they do not have the pin retaining collar that most universal/flex sockets have. I personally have bought two sets for my professional use in an automotive repair shop. One for my main tool cabinet and one for my mobile tool cart. They get daily use, and are often “borrowed” by other techs since the do have the ability to fit into tighter spots. They are so reasonably priced that I have made a point to give this set as a gift to fellow techs for gifts on birthdays.

Great tools, real problem solver and they were spot on correcting the 17mm issue
Update: After discovering the 17mm was actually a 16 the one time I really needed the 17mm I was genuinely not happy. I had not ever reviewed these as I really hadn’t found a whole lot of reasons to use them. The 15mm comes in clutch for working on Chevy trucks, particularly the AC compressor, and they came in super handy for getting the bell housing bolts in (aftermarket without the stud and secondary nuts) on the same but mostly they just sit in the tool bag waiting for a problem to solve. I had one on the exhaust on a Infiniti G35 which is just an evil car to work on and lo and behold the 17mm didn’t fit. After I figured out another way around it and had left the review I went ahead and called Astro the next day and they were aware of the problem and were quick to send a replacement and were genuinely easy to work with. Its not every day someone can turn you around so seamlessly that I came back and updated my review. Great company to work with and genuinely good product that solves problems.Original: I generally like Astro tools, and this one is pretty sturdy pretty durable and a category of tool that I love, I have quarter inch chrome gearwrench sockets with a swivel and a mix of Mac, Sunex and Snap on etc half inch swivels, so I bought this set to have 3/8. I’ve not had much occasion to use them until I needed the 17 mm which is labeled as 17 mm on both of the socket portion and the bottom portion but sure enough it’s 16 mm, so the first and only one I’ve needed was absolutely useless. Not sure I would recommend these to anyone unless you really want to take the time to check that everyone is the size that is printed on the damn socket.

    Swivel socket set
Nice price point for a tool. Doesn’t seem to swivel as far as other brands I’ve used.

  6. Brandon

    Great for every day use
I use these in a mechanics shop almost daily on a half inch impact and they hold up very tough sockets I don’t know if there’s a warranty on them but if your in a pickle these work amazingly

  7. Brett Pennington

Some of the best you can get
Theres no need to get a more expensive brand then these.. they work great and have been tested on a few youtube channels. get these over the higher priced ones.

  8. Lynn Shea

    Nice sockets – treat yourself
I know.. you’re like me and you’ve been buying inexpensive tools all your life just to save some money. These are a very nice upgrade from the 360 adapter and a socket. I’m afraid to get mine dirty now 😛

  9. Amazon Customer

Purchased to replace a smaller set with wide collars around the base. These are much narrower and have better access. They pair well with my M12 stubby impact, and have seen daily use at a heavy equipment dealership

  10. edwing

Se ven muy bien, parece que funcionan bien

  11. david cullen

Took a chance on these as they’re reasonably priced. Work as expected but the numbering wears off quickly

Hopefully it’s in available in 8-22mm in the future or at least that 8,21 & 22mm is available as individual sizes. Tight fitting, good quality not sloppy and good quality steel at a reasonable price. Hopefully they’ll last, the 17mm have unfortunately been a bit soft so it’s been deformed a bit and is not as smooth anymore and wobbles a bit on the anvil. But I recon the warranty would solve this if it’s a problem in the future.
