    Rock-solid performace
This is my first experience with 20oz sausage guns and I’ll continue to use this for higher-volume sealant applications. Works perfectly and there is very little product oozing out after the trigger is released. Also very little waste compared to 10oz tubes. Smooth operation, reliable, and very well made.

i use it everyday, works great is verry well made

  3. Jonathan

    The best.
This is the best manual gun I’ve yet to see. 18:1 thrust. Interchangeable, though not sure why you’d do that but, it is… cool. Very sturdy, for everyday use on the job site. Very well built.

Best Bulk Sausage gun out there
I’m a Union Glazier and this absolutely the best bulk gun I’ve used. I used almost every brand out there, Hilti, Albion, Cox, RK Brown, and a lot of other “not so well known” brands. This Newborn 620al is replacing my other 620al. Thrust ratio is perfect at 18:1. I haven’t used bulk with it, but, I have pumped hundreds of 20oz sausage packs with it. By far the smoothest caulking gun on the market now. If your a glazier or DIY that uses alot of sausages. You will be very pleased with this caulking gun.Newborn makes the best caulking guns out there. I also have there 10oz cartridge gun and I refuse to use anything else

  5. Trucker Warren

    Works great, butttttt.
I gave it a 4 overall and a 3 for easy of use. The tip is extremely hard to unscrew and re install. Maybe it just the one I got but thread tolerances are way too tight. The unit itself works great otherwise.

Rear cap stuck, newborn took care of the issue immediately
Value wise it came in at the mid-range of sausage guns so I’m assuming it’s good value not very many places in Las Vegas sell sausage packs so was going to use as a bulk gun however whoever assembled this gun completely overtightened.it is so over tightened you cannot even get the barrel off so I’m not sure how this gun works because I’m not able to use it.*Update:after hours of trying to get the barrel off it broke! I’m reading this is actually an issue that seems common I contacted newborn last night and started a amazon return and went to bed furious! Keep in mind all my caulking guns and tools are newborn with the exception of the garbage that the company buys us and the one husky gun I bought for 29oz cove base adhesive.i have never had an issue with a newborn product before.I woke up this morning to a reply from newborn which in my opinion was fast for a company and shows they are committed to their customers. Person was extremely helpful and even is sending out another one free of charge even though I have returned the broken one. Newborn’s customer service has been top notch.**Edit: newborn sent a replacement and it has operated flawlessly. Great company, great customer service and the product turned out great

A joy to work with this tool
I’m a union glazier – at times there’s lots of caulking to be done. This gun is so smooth. Everybody else who has used it always asks where I got it from because it’s so nice to use. I like the ratio to it. Good balance. Good trigger. Substantialy built – with thick, well made parts. I’ve had it about a month so far and I’m very happy with this thing

  9. gerardo aguilar

    muy buen producto

Excellent gun but…- Plastics ring do break. But spare aluminum rings.- Green and Orange barrels come with gray gun, not black as advertised.

  11. Terrence Chomiak

Works as it should. Super smooth. Don’t have to press too hard( depending what you are using)Cap issue on prior models is fixed so they are easy to take off.Definitely worth the money.

The first day I had the gun I spent most of it trying to unscrew the nozzle cap and the cap where the trigger assembly attaches to the body. Nothing I tried would budge them. I started to wonder if they were reverse threaded. Or there was “some weird trick” that was needed. I watched product demonstration videos. I even contacted the manufacturer who never replied.Eventually I went out and bought a couple of rubber strap wrenches which finally did the trick. It still took a lot of power with one wrench around the body and one around the cap.I thought perhaps once they were off, they’d be looser for subsequent times. Nope. I need the wrenches to get the caps on and off every time. What a pain. I even had a buddy try his luck and only by popping a few veins on his forehead was he eventually able to get one off. Now imagine doing that every time you need to refill it and it gets old real quick. The only good thing about it is that at least you don’t have to worry about the cap popping off under pressure? That said, the gun is well made in all other respects. It looks and feels heavy duty. The trigger assembly is all metal. The plunger advances smoothly. It doesn’t drip after the plunger is backed off. The handle and trigger are easy and comfortable to use for long periods of time. I was even impressed with how mess-free it was when removing the spent sausage casing. Basically, it’s the nicest gun of this kind I’ve ever used. It’s definitely head and shoulders above big box store brands. So why are the caps hard to remove? My best guess is it has to do with friction between the thick threads and the two materials – a textured aluminum for the tube and plastic for the cap. The threads are quite thick at 3 mm. There’s also no play/clearance between the cap and the body so it means those thick threads are dragging directly against each other.Perhaps I got a lemon and my gun wasn’t tooled correctly? I’m doubtful as the whole thing looks designed that way. No damaged threads. Pristine in all regards. If you come across one in a store, ask to try the caps first. If they come off easily, I can recommend the gun. If not, it’s better to try another brand. Or have strap wrenches.Update: I finally heard back from the manufacturer who, unprompted, offered to send a replacement. Aside from response time that’s pretty top notch customer service. I will update this review again when I receive it.2nd Update: the replacement gun arrived. This one is blue and the caps come on/off easily like one would expect they should do. As a result, I’m upgrading my review to 4 stars. Having a free replacement is nice, but having a working gun to begin with would have been nicer. I had to muscle through with the defective one due to being on a timeline. So would I recommend? I’d say yes, but not from Amazon. Find one in store and test it there.
