Bigger than I thought it would be
An impressive file, bigger than I thought it would be and I’m making a handle as soon as I finish this. Even though the teeth are sharp in the hand, the direction and cut will leave a smooth surface. It will probably work quite well as a rasp on soft and hardwood as well as clearing metal. Good deal!

A good quality rasp at a reasonable price
This round rasp is sharp and is quality for the money. I will buy again. It is a good size for most tasks requiring the use of a rasp to remove material from wood to metal.

The price the size of file best deal
I figured it was a thin file. This file is long and bigger then 3/8″ just under a half inch round. So if you need to make a drill hole a little bigger will not fit 1/4″ hole. Excellent file thank you

less than 3/8 inch diameter
Tough to tell the diameter from the Amazon listing. 10 inches long is a hint. This is not a jewelers file, but it is slightly less than 3/8 inch diameter. You’ll want a smaller one like 3/16 inch diameter for sharpening chain saw blade links. If you want to move a lot of material, you’re going to need a bigger round file. If 3/8 inch diameter works for you, then this is a great file.
