Works Great
I used this tool to punch hundreds of holes in clear vinyl – and it quickly made a crisp hole every time! Itâs so sharp that I was even able to punch holes through two layers of heavyweight vinyl at once. Two things to note: youâll need to use a screwdriver to change the hole size setting, and youâll need to use both hands to squeeze the handles if, like me, your hands are small. While it doesnât clog, it is a bit difficult to remove the spent plugs from the hole punch. When the device is backed up, punching through material gets a bit more difficult. Still, this is a really high quality item that I anticipate using for many projects.

Effective but difficult on soft fabrics
I know I bought this 2 years ago… I actually can’t believe it’s been 2 years. I don’t use it often, but I use it to hole punch soft faux leather to feed paracord through when I make dice bags. Anyhow, this punch does not go through anything thin and supple. I was shopping for a replacement, when I thought to try a couple of things. I was FINALLY successful when I took a piece of corrugated cardboard underneath my fabric and THEN punched. Success! So now I made lots of 1/5″ strips of carboard from old Amazon boxes (hey at least they’re repurposed!) and keep them with my other supplies. I can’t tell you how much I struggled and hurt my hand squeezing trying to punch my fabric. I’m sure if I was using thicker true leather like belts and such it would be fine. I also can’t tell you how satisfying it was to hear that little “pop” sound as the punch passed through the fabric. And… and and guys… even better, the carboard did nut punch through, so it didn’t add to the clog in the hole punch tube… whatever it’s called.

Excellent took for purses and belts!
Gosh, we should have purchased this neat little tool decades ago! It works perfectly well and is easy to use. It’s so helpful when you need an additional hole in a belt, purse strap, or sandal strap. We love it!

Heavy Duty Clean Cuts
I have bought some cheaper rotary punches that turned out to be rather light or flimsy. These are much larger and heavier in construction. The compound joint gives added leverage making them easier to use and less stressful. Cuts clean holes with minimum effort. Recommended and a good value.

Requires monster grip strength
Iâm punching holes in a leather strap for purses and basket. Nothing exceptionally thick. This punch worksâ¦butâ¦the tips arenât sharp and operating the tool requires a grip strength that Iâll bet many (including myself) donât have and and my hands are fairly strong. I have to place this on the carpet with the leather in place and then, using both hands and shoulder strength, reef straight down on it. It works, but Iâm going to look for another model with sharp cutting tips and advanced mechanism that produces better results without all of the gyrations and huffing and puffing. I would not recommend this product.

It’s better than I thought. Used a good material to have weight. Different sizes of holes can be made. It works.
