Great set for lighter duty.
I purchased this set mostly for chasing and repairing damaged threads but it has stood up well for cutting threads in thin mild steel and aluminum. I was pleased with the results. For the price it’s an excellent value. I wouldn’t recommend them for heavy constant commercial use but for occasional use at work I’ve been very happy.

Works well for the price
I bought this expecting to hardly ever use it. And then almost immediately after I bought it I had to take it into work to fix the threads on a subframe in a car. Pretty decent size bolt too. Had to use one of the bigger size taps. Wasn’t sure how well it was going to hold up being a cheap tap and die set. But it ended up doing the job just fine. For the price I would definitely recommend this. Some of the tap and die handles leave a little to be desired. But overall I really can’t complain about any of it

Very good for the price
The taps and dies are top quality they work great have no problems at all however the tools to hold the taps and dies are very cheaply made. Like I said very good for the price.

When you need it, you need it
There was a nice discount and I’ve bought it for $26.65 – that’s both metric and SAE sets. Feels like a steal. Even if it works once (and it did), saving you a trip to a store for a new bolt is worth having this on hand.

Very poor quality. Tools would not accept same size screws or nuts. Metal flashing prevents use.
All the tools had metal clogging the threads so I could not put screws through the die’s. The taps were the same and I could not get them through nuts the same size. Very Poor quality. I contacted the company Vevor and they would not help because I was past the return window for Amazon. Unfortunately I did not try the tools before the Amazon time limit ran out. I have power supplies from Vevor that are very good. I am disappointed with their hand tools. If you buy their tools, make sure you try them within the Amazon return time period. Amazon has no way to talk to then once you are out of the return time period. I will probably have to through them out. Wasted time.

The price is great first of all. But… well… The tap handle is not very good. I cannot get it to grip a tap unless I use pliers on it, which isn’t how a tap handle should work. So far I’ve mostly used it to tap aluminum, which has been fine, although it does feel like it takes some effort to do that, so perhaps the taps aren’t particularly hard, or sharp?Overall, it’s worked for my purposes, although the tap handle is an incredibly frustrating experience to use.Overall, yeah I tapped some holes with this. But it was a frustrating experience. I think in the future, I’ll just buy a high quality tap in whatever size I need instead of a whole set of cheap taps.
