    Lightweight but works great
At 24 inches this ax works great for me to split wood. Not sharp at all but not necessary for splitting seasoned soft wood. Well balanced, small but mighty

    Feels Quality and Splits Excellent
So far, so good. Bought this because I wanted something for splitting when I didn’t need my maul. Also, I LOVE quality wood handles, but over the years I’ve become annoyed at the ax heads eventually coming loose, the handles warping, splintering, etc (if they’re not babied). I wanted something I could leave out in the weather and not have to worry. I wanted something I could take out of the garage a whole season later, and KNOW that it’s ready to go with no care.My only gripe would that it’s a little heavier than I needed or expected. The price isn’t cheap either. For those who complain it’s not razor sharp… c’mon, it’s a splitting ax. Even if it did come razor sharp, it would dull after a swing or two. This ax came plenty sharp for it’s intended purpose.

    Great for splitting
Axe is very sharp once the protective coating has been bashed off. Very sharp and splits with the best of them.I was surprised that the handle is completely hollow but It takes some serious punishment. I have split many stuborn logs and stumps and the handle absorbs impacts nicely. It is ergonomically friendly to arms and joints. Just wish it was about 6″ longer but I goten use to its length.

    Worth the cost!
Great splitting axe that is light enough to swing for long periods of time, yet durable enough to last. Swings well, and has great feel.

I would have given it a 5 star only if would have come sharpened
Was very excited to have received my new axe. I cannot wait to use it when I go camping. I had watched a video where the guy used it to chop up wood very easily so I did my research only to find it on another video review. Turns out to be I seen only good reviews for this axe. I was not happy how sharp it came so I wipped out the Japanese stones. It did not take not much to get it sharp like a scalpel. Now I am excited. I really would have given it a 5 star. This was my only issue.

    Hello, my name is Brutis!
This ax is the real deal. It is extremely durable, and “tough “. All those photos, in other axe reviews, where the handle is broker/shattered by the axe head. Most of those are caused by missing the log and hitting it with the handle base! Simple as that! This axe is designed to withstand that user error. I’ve been a wood splitter for MANY years, this is the best tool for the job.

    Only one major issue
It has nothing to do with the product, but everything to do with me. I swung the darn thing and nailed myself in the shin cause I’m used to bigger axes. One hand this thing.

    Works good
This little axe is awesome for what it is. Handle a little short for splitting vast quantities of wood but I’m sure the shortness helps when cutting trees.

After reading and watching quite a few reviews I decided to get the Husqvarna 28 in. Steel Splitting Axe with Fiberglass Handle. I absolutely love it! Great Swedish steel head, a good shape for splitting, and more single split hits than I have ever experienced. I was skeptical that the handle was a little short, but it works fine. If I could change anything it would be to lengthen the handle a little. The hook on the end of the handle is great. By far the best axe I have owned in decades of splitting. A little pricey but worth the money and Highly recommended.
